Everyone asks that multiple times a year, and imo it's the wrong question to ask. You should at what you want to achieve and pick language according to that. Unless you want to become a code monkey for a business, then you should put focus into the most used in your region (check jobbanks). In my country it has been C# for ages, and probably still will be for many years to come.

I mostly do web based work, where I often go towards Laravel (php) or Node.js (javascript). Usually running Lamp stack with Lara and Mean stack with Node.
