Warning: This guide is easy to follow.
Warning: I can type fluent English.
Warning: ...Don't skip a step.
Warning: There are some big images that skew the size of the thread, I apologize. This is simply for detail.

Prerequisites:
  1. Winrar
  2. Ability to extract
  3. Ability to follow instructions
  4. WORLD OF WARCRAFT PATCHED TO 3.3.5a

Table of Contents:
  1. Download Noggit
  2. Get it working
  3. ?????
  4. Profit

1. Download Noggit

Downloading Noggit is simple. First, go here.

You should see:

You should be redirected here:

guide4.jpg

Warning: If you are redirected a site with black text, and nothing is being downloaded, go back to the Noggit homepage, and click on the link to the download page again.

Once it finishes downloading, extract it anywhere. Preferably to the desktop, although it does not matter.

2. Getting it working

Open the Noggit file.

Move the "fonts" folder, the folder pointed to in the picture above, from the Noggit folder to your World of Warcraft directory.
If you have multiple World of Warcraft clients, move the file into the 3.5.5a version.

As shown in:

guide21.jpg

Next, open the "Noggit" CONF file in Notepad.

guide12.jpg

Edit the "#Path =" by replacing whatever is currently there to the directory you placed the "fonts" folder into. Such as:

3. ????????

?????????:

4. Profit.

Open the Noggit program:

For example:

Working Noggit 3 in Northrend.

If you have any problems, feel free to post them here.
I'm aware my interface is messed up. It doesn't bother me as I use keybindings anyway.

Thanks for reading and hope you don't get scammed by Cuddles!

Outro:

  • For a list of keybindings, click "H" on your keyboard.
  • For Noggit support, click here
  • Have fun! There are plenty of tutorials on this, just google for them

Hahaha, see! It's pretty easy setting up actually. There are plenty of tutorials on how to texture, create your own continents, edit old ones, etc. both here and on MMOwned. Have fun world building/editing!

Why did you have to post a tutorial about this? I thought everyone knew about this, its the most simplest thing in the universe, i can bet that a retarded cow could figure this out.

Obviously not.

There have been more. I made this tutorial for the people who can't figure it out, and made it so a certain someone (Cuddles) doesn't get money for giving people a code to get it to work.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is. My best advice is to just live with it and memorize the keybindings on "H." I made a tutorial to make a working Noggit tutorial; everything works, it just looks like a winter wonderland.

I looked for quite a while for the solution. I didn't find one, but it isn't really that bad. I've been able to do everything I wanted to do. You just have to live with it, sorry.

you can't know noobs

So true... so true.

My tips to fix those buttons n stuff would be update your graphic drivers. Also, updating your graphic drivers could be the solution to get your noggit to work if it hasn't before.

The log file says otherwise.

That wouldn't help, it has nothing to do with graphic drivers. The rev. 104 file either doesn't contain the needed interface files, or our data folders don't contain them. Looking at the log file, the latter gains the crown.

I feel like a total idiot everyone else seems to have it working except me. I followed your instructions step by step but every time I try to launch it it flips me the bird and crashes. I'm running windows XP and my wow is patched to 3.3.5a. My configuration file is set to "#Edit this to your WoWFile!!!
#Path = C:\World of Warcraft
#Edit this to your Project-Directory and uncomment if you want to use it!
#ProjectPath = C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\Noggit3\Projects"

Hmm I get this in my Log error:

.\wowmapview.cpp:154 > Nogg-It $Rev: 104 $
.\wowmapview.cpp:264 > Game path: Data\
.\wowmapview.cpp:266 > Project path:
.\wowmapview.cpp:310 > Could not find locale directory. Be sure, that there is one containing the file "realmlist.wtf".

lol I've edited and then re-edited the config to point EXACTLY to the wow folder, then the realmlist it still fails?
